Who is this course for?

All football coaches who want to create or enhance their personal methodology and access the training principles of a professional academy. Suitable for coaches from all environments.

Do I need coaching qualifications to join?

No qualifications are required. The course is designed for coaches with all levels of experience.

What will I learn during the course

You will learn how to build a complete coaching methodology, including playing and training principles, positional profiles and individual development plans, and how to integrate all of these into your planning and session design. You will also learn how to design effective sessions, understand elite level planning and use the AI Coach to apply your ideas.

How long is the course

The course runs for five modules over the space of three weeks (longer for the Beta test) and includes two in person study visits, online learning, mentorship and practical resources.

Where does the course take place?

The course follows a blended model. The first and last module will be at your selected club, the rest of the modules will be online via video call.

Do I need to travel to QPR and PUFC?

Yes. Both visits are required in person. Travel and accommodation are your responsibility unless otherwise stated.

What is a study visit

A study visit is an in-person opportunity at a professional academy where you observe training and see firsthand how elite environments operate.

What happens if I miss a session

Please contact us if you are unable to make any of your selected sessions and we will help you rearrange them to the best of our ability. Please note that it may not always be possible to rearrange your study visits if you are unable to make the allocated dates.

Is there a limit to the number of coaches in each cohort

Yes. Spaces are limited to 8 (Eight)  people to ensure each coach receives individual support.

Will I receive one to one support

Yes. You receive structured mentorship on the course.

What is the AI Coach

The AI Coach is a support tool that helps you build and refine your methodology. You can ask coaching questions, design sessions and receive guidance during the course.

Who delivers the course

The course is delivered by VIA Academy in collaboration with QPR and PUFC with input from experienced academy coaches.

How much does the course cost

The course costs £99 (Ninety-nine GBP) for an individual coach. Custom prices can be arranged for organisations with multiple coaches.

Can I pay in installments

Instalment payments are not available at this time.

What will I have at the end of the course

A more comprehensive understanding of your coaching methodology, a structured planning process and practical tools you can use in your coaching environment.

Can I continue to use the AI Coach after the course

Access is provided for the duration of the course and until the end of the 25/26 season (latest 31 July 2026).

When does the course start

Start dates are listed on the course page. If a cohort is full you can join the waitlist to be notified of the next available place.

Do you analyse my players or team

The methodology course focuses on your planning and coaching approach. Player or match analysis is not part of the offering at this present time.

Do I need to coach a team right now to take the course

No, however, it is beneficial to be able to provide relevant context.

Is the course suitable for coaches outside the UK

Because the study visits are held in the UK, the course can be more suitable for those who live locally but we welcome all coaches irrespective of where they reside. If you do not live in the UK please contact us on hello@viaacademy.com to discuss scheduling options.

Can I join the course if I cannot attend both study visits

Yes. If this applies to you, please email hello@viaacademy.com and we can discuss alternative solutions to ensure you still receive the full experience and learning opportunity.

Do I need technical skills to use the AI Coach

Basic technical and IT skills would be beneficial but not essential.

Is the AI Coach personalised to my team

Yes. The AI Coach references your environment and incorporates your circumstances to provide personalised support.

How big are the cohorts

The cohorts are a maximum of eight people.

Can I speak with someone before enrolling

Can schools or clubs pay on invoice

Can I switch to a later cohort after enrolling

Are the study visits appropriate for younger coaches or students

You must be at least 16 years old to attend the course.
